Further prestigious award to POREEN research

The Paper “GOING GREEN: CHINESE OFDI IN THE EUROPEAN RENEWABLE ENERGY SECTOR”, by Ping Lv (School of Management, University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, China) and Francesca Spigarelli (University of Macerata, Department of Law, Italy) was awarded with 2014 Emerald Best Paper Award, within the China Goes Global Conference (Chinese Globalization Association) held in Shanghai (August 19-21,
2014) at the Shanghai JaoTong University.

Best Paper Award” – WWWforEurope (Deadline: 16 November 2014)

In the frame of the European research project WWWforEurope (Welfare, Wealth, Work for Europe), a “Best Paper Award” will be granted for scientific advances in the following fields:

– Increasing resilience of the economic and financial system

– Financing the welfare state in a low growth scenario

– Options to reduce working time (who, how, why, enforcement)

– Implications of low growth for distribution (including gender aspects), social mobility, and openness

– Case studies of social and economic consequences of low growth

Prestigious award to POREEN research

The international conference “AIB US-Northeast Chapter Special Meeting on China” was held last week, 21-24 May 2014 in Beijing and Tianjin in Beijing Technology and Business University and Tianjin Foreign Studies University, respectively. PhD candidate Katiuscia Vaccarini, University of Macerata, Italy and Prof. Louise Curran, Toulose Business School, France took part in the conference and presented their research within the framework of Poreen about the following topics: “Psychic Distance and its Role as a Determinant of FDI in the Chinese Marketplace” (Katiuscia Vaccarini) “How Emerging Country MNEs (EMNEs) Address the Liability of Foreigness: The Solar Panel Case” (Louise Curran). In this occasion the Best Student Paper Award was assigned to “Psychic Distance and its Role as a Determinant of FDI in the Chinese Marketplace” by Katiuscia Vaccarini. Congratulations to Katiuscia!
